Sun Alertz is a new service from Sun Cellular that allows you to update your status on Facebook and Twitter from your mobile phone. With a subscription, you can receive unlimited updates ("alertz") from all your friends on these networks, all day long. You can also opt to receive alertz only from selected friends, or only at specific times.

Set up your Facebook account
Configure the Sun Alertz Facebook app.

Set up your Twitter account
Text LOGIN <username> <password> to 2555, e.g. LOGIN myuser mypass

Update only your Facebook status
Send FB <your status message> to 2555, e.g. FB is testing Sun Alertz or FB I think Sun Alertz is cool! (P1/text, or go unlimited!)

Update only your Twitter status
Send TW <your status message> to 2555, e.g. TW is testing Sun Alertz or TW I think Sun Alertz is cool! (P1/text, or go unlimited!)

Update your status on all your configured sites (e.g. Facebook and Twitter)
Send STAT <your status message> to 2555, e.g. STAT is testing Sun Alertz or STAT I think Sun Alertz is cool! (P1/text, or go unlimited!)

Please note that long status messages may be truncated by Facebook and other sites. To ensure that the complete text of your status is displayed on all sites, use no more than 140 characters.

Subscribe to Sun Alertz
Send unlimited updates and receive alertz from your friends all day long by subscribing to Sun Alertz! You can do this from the Account tab (after logging in to this site), or by texting any of the following to 2555:

BUY 1 — P15/day
BUY 7 — P50/7 days
BUY 30 — P150/30 days
Text BUY <# of days> to 2555. Ex. BUY 1

Auto-renew your subscription
You can do this from the Account tab (after logging in), or by texting any of the following to 2555:

WEEK ON — P50/7 days
MONTH ON — P150/30 days

Get information on your account
Send CHECK to 2555

Temporarily stop receiving all updates
Send OFF to 2555.

Start to receive updates again
Send ON to 2555.

Specify when you want to receive updates
Send SCHED (or SKED) hhmm HHMM to 2555, where hhmm is the starting time in 24-hour format, and HHMM is the ending time. For example SCHED 0800 1500 would limit alerts from 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Receive updates throughout the day
Send SCHED (or SKED) OFF to 2555

Check your current schedule
Send SCHED (or SKED) to 2555

Temporarily block a friend's updates
Reply with BLOCK when you receive an update from that friend. Save the 14-digit sender number so that you can unblock that friend later.

Get a list of your blocked Facebook contacts
Send BLOCKLIST FB to 2555.

Get a list of your blocked Twitter contacts
Send BLOCKLIST TW to 2555.

Get a list of all your blocked contacts
Send BLOCKLIST to 2555.

Unblock a friend
Send UNBLOCK to the same number you used to block that friend. You can also send UNBLOCK <num> to 2555, where <num> is your friend's contact number from BLOCKLIST.
